This is very weird! Around here I am the Star Trek Guru. Starting one day a few months ago and from out of the woodwork, I was beening asked, "who is Leslie Parrish". Well, mabye this will help relieve all this curiosity: > David K. Bradley > North Texas State University > Denton, TX > infoswx!ntvax!david > >In Richard Bach's ("Jonathan Livingston Seagull", "Illusions", etc.) latest >book, "The Bridge Across Forever", he tells about how he met his wife, Leslie >Parrish. Apparently Leslie Parrish was a guest star in an episode of Startrek. (I believe this is where the question arose from) Lt. Carolyn Palamas, specialized in Archeology and Anthropology. The episode is "Who Morns for Adonis". It's about how the Enterprise and crew meet up with Apollo and how he wants the crew to become simple sheperds and worship him. But of course, they cannot because the people from the 23rd Century are a little more educated and what not than the Anceint Greeks were. Parrish is Apollo's love intrest and the weapon Kirk uses to defeat him. I hope that helps, it's all from memory, Chris Wayne @ UNM. P.S. for those that are interested, I have changed accounts from cvax:csdeptaa to cvax:cwayne.

*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR MESSAGE *** [set line-eaters on stun, Ensign Nameless] I'm using a friend's account for this, so send responses to dartvax!dilvish instead. I just read _The Bridge Across Forever_ by Richard Bach, about his wife, Leslie Parrish. It sort of indicated in a sideways fashion that she was involved in Star Trek some way. It's sitting in the back of my mind somewhere how she is, but for the life of me I can't remember. Could someone out there jog my poor excuse of a memory for me? Jim Van Verth, aka Dilvish

After Kirk makes a little speech about "human flesh and blood", she spurns him. What's even more interesting is in the novelization (sp?) by James Blish (in Star Trek 7, I believe), the tag for the episode is that she is PREGNANT! It doesn't say what her eventual decision is, however. Jeff Okamoto okamoto%ucbvax@Berkeley.ARPA ucbvax!okamoto

Leslie Parrish played the part of Leiutenant Carolyn Palamas in Who Mourns for Adonais. Everyone will remember her as the good looking blonde in various stages of undress! PS: Who Mourns for Adonais was the episode where the Greek God Apollo held the Enterprise captive to worship him. Jon Doran ucbvax!unmvax!nmtvax!doran
