I don't know if anyone else noticed this inconsistency, but in the
episode, "And The Children Shall Lead", Kirk brings those kids off
the planet and posts two security guards at the outpost. Eventually
the kids take control of the ship while Kirk is debriefing the
two replacement guards down in the transporter room. The kids force
the ship to leave orbit, Kirk makes a BIG deal about how the two
guards will beam down and THEN the two that are already down there
can beam up. The replacements are beamed down to empty space because
the Enterprise is no longer orbiting the planet; Kirk is anguished.
Kirk rushes upstairs, eventually defeats the Angel and the kids.
He then has Sulu "set course for Starbase _____".
I guess the two guards that are still on the planet aren't worth their
weight in antimatter.

Does antimatter have weight?
