The Washinton Post today cites an interview between L.Nimoy and the LA Times denying speculation that Eddie Murphy (who has an exclusive contract with Paramount and is a ST fan) might appear in ST IV. The rumor going around Hollywood is that the crew travels in a time warp to 1990 to rescue the Enterprise (no details mentioned in the article). They run into Murphy playing himself. I suppose it's plausible, since Khan is from the 1990's. Anyone care to speculate on what they try to do? Here are some of my ideas: - blow up the ship - put warning signs inside and outside the ship - help the ship along to find a habitable planet (maybe even Ceti Alpha V, since it'll be 200 years before it shifts out of orbit, plenty of time for Khan and his people to develop spaceflight.) I personally favor the first alternative, since it puts Khan out of the picture completely. The other alternatives might have even worse consequences for the galaxy than what actually occurred. Since I have a feeling that Kirk and company will be using that Klingon 'Bird of Prey' to accomplish this, blowing up the ship also seems very plausible, since I don't think they have tractor beams to tow the ship to Ceti Alpha V. Perhaps they'll just disable the ship, and hope that Khan will stand trial for his crimes against humanity, then be put to death. This is more acceptable from a moral standpoint. And of course, whatever action they take will be constrained by the Prime Directive :) - Ralph Hyre
