Here's a short published recently in "SFMOVIE" magazine (May 1985): STAR TREK 4: OUTCASTS OF THE FEDERATION? William Shatner has finally agreed to star in the fourth Star Trek film, and will apparently be receiving substantially what he asked for. Due to the later start date this will give the movie (it was originally going to begin filming in Feb), the film will not be released until the summer of 1986. It was originally hoped it would have a Christmas '85 release date. Sources close to the production have revealed that producer Harve Bennett has decided that the plot of the fourth picture will indeed have the Star Trek crew branded as renegades and hunted by the Federation, due to their theft of the Enterprise. While many fans had hoped and suspected that this would happen, confirmation of it means that this film could be the most offbeat Star Trek story yet. Also, watch for Nichelle Nichols (Uhura) starring in a new movie entitled "The Supernatural", and William Shatner on Cinemax Cable TV series "The Bradbury Chronicles".
