[net.startrek] ST 4 Deli tackics

/* Heda Hopper line eater */

Hello from the land of Hollywood Techs

	Rumor has it--

A friend of mine who works at a deli in Studio City makes
sandwiches for the lady who colors Capn' Kirk's Hair. Alas, old age.
Well anyway, She was heard to say that Eddie Murfy(OH NO !!) was seen
on the "closed set" of the Star Trek IV movie. Not only that but
"Murf" was seen made up as a ... Yes, you guesed it ... A Vulcan.
Horror of Horror's. Murf plays a street wise, happy-go-lucky,
Beverly Hills Vulcan who helps Kirk and Co. save the universe and
there by make up for stealing the Enterprise. How Kirk can do it in a
Klingon Bird of Prey I don't know, and a damaged one at that!

Good ol' Harv, (Harvy Bennet that is, he likes the cream chesse and
rasin sandwiches at the deli) thinks that Eddie is just great. In
fact he is thinking making Murf the new science officer when LM
retires from ST to do voices for TV documentaries. I think Robin
(Lt. Savkic) is hot, but she's nobody, and doesn't even like cream chesse.

The Studio Marketing people, Ugh, think that they can open up an Australian
market if they put an Aussy in a main character roll. "Stubby", is
"Scotty's" new engineering assistant. He comes from the planet down
under. Help us Gene Rottenbery.

			More later ...

OH my personal deity! Eddie Murphy as a vulcan! I'm sick.
Well, let's have some faith in Harve and Leonard - maybe
it will be Eddie's first serious role. Then again, even
in ST:TWOK, I couldn't help expecting Kruge to say a line
from "Taxi":

Kruge:"I changed my name to Ignatowski",
Alex:"Why would you change your name to that of all things?"
Kruge: "Say it backwards!"
Alex: "Ikswotangi?"
Kruge:"Oooh boy, ( confusion ) it was supposed to spell 'Starchild'"
