I was watching "The Way to Eden" just the other night, and noticed that Chekov's old girlfriend (Irena) was wearing an outfit that displayed her belly button. I was familiar with the story about how the clothes designer was not allowed to show navels on TV at that time and how he had to go out of his way to hide them while still making the women's costumes sexy. Are there any other Star Trek programs which display women's navels? If so, they would probably be in the third season. (Still, note the upwards flap covering Lee Meriwether's navel in "That Which Survives", a third-season show.) By the way, a believe the censors were right. Chekov's girlfriend did look quite sexy, navel and all. :-) ----------- Come to the shell for answers. dwayne {akgua, ut-sally}!usl!dkl
