[net.startrek] Favorite Lines? Landrew!...

follmer@hplabs.UUCP (09/19/85)

Thought it might be interesting to ask everyone what their favorite line
from Star Trek is. I think mine has got to be:

"Landrew! Guide Us!"

The hooded monks and the panic in thier voice really crack me up.
I guess second place might be when Kirk says something to the effect
"try one of those red pills; they really knock you out!"
or some similar, out of character, drug abuse oriented statement.
I forget which episode these are from.

In "Spock's Brain", we hear my favorite line:

"Brain and brain. What is Brain?" [ But you have to get that confused yet
annoyed tone of voice just right.]

I think this line is most commonly used on Mondays.

From "A Piece of the Action":

Spock: "I would advise youse ta keep dialin', Oxmix."

and,

Spock: "Captain, as a starship commander, you are without equal. But as a
taxi driver, you leave much to be desired."

From "Tomorrow is Yesterday":

Christopher: "I never did believe in little green men."
Spock:	"Neither do I."

and,

McCoy: "Blast it Spock, shouldn't you be working on those calculations to
	get us out of here!?!"
Spock: " I am."

"And what's that you're wearing? Some sort of uniform?"

"Oh this? Just a little something I slipped on."

-- [ Kirk to his 20th century interrogators in
