Ok... I have had enough. I know this discussion has gone on before, but I am just sick to my stomach about the whole attitude people are adopting towards USA for AFRICA. First off, let me say, I DO think this is a great idea. The problem in Africa needed dealing with as far as $$ and een public awareness... BUT these dudes are not the first to sing music for a noble cause. Let us look back a few months to Band-Aide... this whole thing was their idea (about Ethiopia). And again, this was not their idea. Music has existed for noble ideas for quite a few years. Let us think of the No-Nukes concerts. Or the Concert for the People at Kampuchea. And one of my all time favorites, Harry Chapin. this musician gave much of his profits to worthwhile charities. Don't get me wrong... I am very happy all this is working out for Africa, but everytime I hear the song on the radio, the DJ's praise these musicians like they came up with the brightest idea in the world. Duh hea, this has been done before. Sorry, just had to get that chip off my shoulder. Elliott Adler p.s. please don't flame me, it's asbestos I can do. -- {ihnp4|spike|rocky2|philabs|pegasus|esquire|cucard}!aecom!adler
