I would certainly be curious to know. After 20 years of existence as a jew I've never met a Jewish Priest that was not a Rabbi. Nimoy was oversimplifying matters when he used the term Jewish Rabbi. Now if only he could explain those ears! It is interesting to note that in several instances Kirk could gotten out of many a jam if Spok was not along. The "priests" in Jewish faith are actually members of the priestly tribe (the Kohanim) who say a benediction over the congragation on high holidays (notably Yom Kippur). This has nothing to do with rabbis or the daily operation of the synagogue.
