Why did all the insignias change? The answer is that the writers of the movies can do whatever they want. By the way, is TRANSWARP X really the speed of light times X to the fourth power?

Did anyone notice that in TWOK Khan is wearing a necklace with the arrowhead symbol for starfleet. Where did he come up with this? steve The meak shall inherit the earth. The rest... The Universe!

Did Khan have the necklace before or after "hijacked" the Reliant? If it were after, perhaps he stole the insignia from the captain or someone else on the ship and fashioned it into a necklace. I don't remember if he had the necklace while he was marooned on Ceti Alpha 5. He did indeed have the necklace at that point. I've been puzzling over this necklace thing myself. It looked quite battered and worn. Does anyone remember if in the episode in the series in which Kahn appears whether he has the necklace at *that* point?? "Interesting." -Spock, every goddam episode. Michael S. Regarding where Khan got the Starfleet symbol that he wore, didn't it come from his wife, Marla McGivers (McGyvers?)? Or are you saying that he copied it from her uniform, and how did he do it -- I guess I'd agree with the scrap metal idea. Anne
