In the episode with Skippy Homeir as a Nazi, little homing devices are implanted in Kirk and Spock so that in the event they cannot communicate with the ship they can at least be located. Why wasn't this done in MIRI or A TASTE OF ARMAGEDDON or other episodes where the crucial dramatic device is the loss of communicators? MIRI is especially ridiculous because the "onlies" steal the "boxes" from the "grups" which leaves Spock and McCoy unable to tie into the ship's computer to discover a cure for the disgusting and disfiguring disease that attacks "grups", i.e. Kirk and the landing party. [Yeoman Janis in tears to Jim: "On the ship I always tried to get you to look at my legs ... LOOK AT MY LEGS!!!" They are covered with blue and grey blobs.] Why couldn't the crew on the Enterprise beam down some communicators after they hadn't heard from the "grups" for a few days? -------------- from GDP via SPP_______________________________________
