*** REPLACE THIS LINE WITH YOUR Klingon *** Heard on the radio today: shooting for Star Trek IV will commence in Feburary 1986. No other information was mentioned, no plot details. (Read DC comix for one possible scenario.) The current Aviation Leak carries an article about a transatmospheric vehicle, one that can take off from a runway and reach LEO. It is a high priority item for SDI because the per pound costs must be reduced from what they are with the Shuttle. The article did not mention transporter beams. -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX ...!tektronix!reed!omen!caf CIS:70715,131 Omen Technology Inc 17505-V NW Sauvie Island Road Portland OR 97231 Home of Professional-YAM, the most powerful COMM program for the IBM PC Voice: 503-621-3406 TeleGodzilla: 621-3746 (Hit CRs) L.sys entry for omen: omen Any ACU 1200 1-503-621-3746 se:--se: link ord: Giznoid in:--in: uucp

Chuck, The information I have is that shooting will start about Feb. 11. It starts off with the crew aboard a Klingon battle cruiser (surprise, surprise) and will involve whales. I've been wanting to post this for quite a while but my source has stopped me saying with my name/company/location attatched to it, it might be able to be traced back to him. (....... is paranoid about security and doesn't like such leaks). If you want to post this go ahead, just don't attatch my name to it. -- -- Chuck Forsberg WA7KGX ...!tektronix!reed!omen!caf CIS:70715,131 Author of Professional-YAM communications Tools for PCDOS and Unix Omen Technology Inc 17505-V NW Sauvie Island Road Portland OR 97231 Voice: 503-621-3406 TeleGodzilla: 621-3746 (Hit CRs) L.sys entry for omen: omen Any ACU 1200 1-503-621-3746 se:--se: link ord: Giznoid in:--in: uucp

If we had both, we could safely say "Oh no, not again!"?:-) Actually, I guess we still can... 2) Why don't they ever show the internal politics of the Federation? Yeah, they tried in the series, and all we ever see of the "outside Federation" has been on Regula, and the space dock above Earth. I would like to see the goings-on inside the rest of the Federation, like its' culture, or interaction between other Federation members. Yeah, sure they tried in 'Journey to Babel' but that was not enough for me. 'Cloud Minders' was inane (one of my least favorites), although it tried. I guess what I'm hedging at is that I would like to see something other than Humans and Vulcans accomplishing everything. Yes, this is whining, but where else can I complain? I don't have the address of Paramount...yet. -- -- Jonathan D. Trudel -- arpa: trudel@blue.rutgers.edu uucp:{seismo,allegra,ihnp4}!topaz!blue!trudel Why, Crusher! It's good to see you!
