Regarding the question about changes to the soundtrack on the recently released videotape of "City on the Edge of Forever": Watched it the other night, and in the scene where Kirk is escorting Edith home for the first time, the soundtrack is playing a period music piece ("Goodnight Sweetheart"?). This background music seemed to be at an incompatible level; the music was tending to drown out the coversation. I suspect this is where the changes were made. As regards to why; well, there may have been some sort of legal problem with the music originally used. For instance, in the movie "Love at First Bite," the music used in the disco scene was a Donna Summer song... which got quite high on the charts. Yet in the videotape release, this song was changed to another... maybe the original sale only gave rights to theatrical release. Next time COTEOF is on broadcast, I'll listen and see if it uses the same music. Ron Wanttaja (ssc-vax!wanttaja) "He heard you. He just could not believe his ears."
