| In one of the episodes or one of the movies, didn't the Klingons refer
| to the Big E as "a Federation Battle Cruiser"? I seem to recall a group
| of Klingons hunched around a sensor readout. Seems like the Empire
| isn't impressed with the Federation's diplomatic posturing.

What do you want? The Klingons are a belligerent race (I can make arguments
that it may have been necessary for their survival, but they contradict THE
FINAL REFLECTION in a few areas so I'll let someone else figure out why) and
might refer to something liek that as a battle cruiser anyway -- relate ir ro
one of their *own* ship classes rather than invent a new name (or use the
Federation name!) for it. It seems reasonable thatwhat the Federation would
call a heavy cruiser, the Klingons would call a battle cruiser. Diplomacy has
nothing to do with it; it's for ease of reference, using terms everybody (in
the Klingon Empire) already knows.
