It seems to me that there was some years a controversy over this very issue
among the fandom.  The solution it seems was the lack of standardization
within Startrek, something everyone on the net is familiar with :-).
What finnally happened I believe is that BOTH were considered the 
correct name for the class, but then again, I could be wrong...
