Well, there are two places where Khan could have heard the old Klingon
proverb:-

	1) When he was perusing the Enterprise's library tapes during
"Space Seed". Remember that Kirk gave Khan carte blanche
to study whatever he wished. That's how he gained enough
knowledge to take over the ship.

	2) From Marla McGivers (sp?). She was the history (or ancient
cultures or whatever such thing) specialist on the Enterprise.
She aided Khan in "Space Seed" and was marooned on Ceti Alpha V
with him. Khan also makes references to her in "TWOK" as his
wife. As someone who studied people and cultures, it is quite
possible that she at one point studied Klingon culture and
picked up some of their history, along with proverbs and the
	    like.

As to where the books came from, I would assume that Khan and company brought
them when they left Earth in the Botany Bay. Makes sense, right?

Now, my question. Can someone make a list of the quotes in "TWOK" and where
they came from and post it?? I think it'd be interesting to see any parallels
that exist similar to the tie to "Tale of Two Cities".
