I just (last night) saw The Search for Spock (again) on SPECTRAVISION --
pay hotel movie. Since I was watching it in the comfort of my "own"
room, I actually sat there and read all the credits through at the end.
Now, what bothered me was that -- as far as I saw -- the only mention
of Janice Rand being in the movie was "Woman in cafeteria"!

In Spocks case it is also true. Logically, this means that | Sarek's logic is weak where his son is conserned by his past record. +--------------- I have always maintained that the driving force for ST:TSFS (``because the needs of the one were greater than the needs of the many'') was, not Kirk, but Sarek. (Read the novelization. I find it significant that after Uhura's part in the hijacking of the Enterprise, she asks for political asylum at the Vulcan Embassy and is admitted immediately by Sarek.)
