All right, a question for those out there who have read Ford's _The_Final_Relection_: Who is that (unmasked) Vulcan on the cover? The cover shows the Krenn and the young Spock playing chess, with a defiant-looking person in the background with Vulcan features. Or Romulan features, I guess... but there were no Romulan characters in the book, other than one in the booth. Who is this supposed to be? It can't be young Krenn (Vrenn), as the adult Krenn does not have pointed ears. Kelly (Gelly)? No, the person sure looks male ("Looks fairly butch..." :-) ). From the apparent age, he has to be someone from the school, and Zharn is the only remaining possibility. But I don't think Zharn's part is large enough to warrant his inclusion on the front... and back... covers. Besides, Zharn is never described, and from the stated attitude at the school towards Vulcan fusions, I doubt that Zharn would rise to lead if he looked Vulcan. So who is he? Hmmmm???? Ron Wanttaja (ssc-vax!wanttaja) "What happens when they moult?" "Lions don't moult!" "Yes, but penguins do, there, ran rings around you logically!"
