[net.poems] grey slate

	your grey slate eyes

your grey slate eyes I have seen on cats
much more emotional than you.
not that you are cold,
but that as your eyes are stone,
your heart is hollowed,
and is sucking out my life.
I am nearly a shell now,
my aims and thoughts are in you,
though you deny them to be there.
(oh yes)
and I would be secure inside your life
if I could rest my head between your thighs
and kiss the backs of your knees.
(of course)
I would suck your breasts and taste your tongue
and smile again into your eyes,
and breathe my air into your head -
if only your eyes would be warm to me once more.
