The Dream 10-21-83

As I drove across the road underconstruction
I saw the time of this worlds destruction
A road unused for decades by man
In the now desolate land
The snow unshoved from walks glistened
You can hear the death cry if you listen
Houses, dead and devoid of human inhabitants
Calls and screams of the world gone rampant

As I drove my heart broke
This world has created a great yoke
We chose the road of complete destruction
For the remnant to start the re-construction
To repeat this cycle of growth
It is the end that I loath
Maybe we will learn to not to fear
Or else this earth will disappear.
