Exhaust from the cars out on route 96
Casts a smoky haze over the sun.
A man on TV tells me nonsensical things
That today the nations of Earth have done.
And the things that I saw must be things that I did
Though I cannot remember when.
For my face in the mirror sorta blurred this morning --
And I haven't looked back again.
On a cold flat plain in a blizzard wind,
I found a little shelter and hid.
I knew I had to atone for the ways that I'd sinned
But I didn't even know what I did.
No, I didn't even know what I did.
I saw a little boy playing on the grass today;
I know that his parents adore him.
He killed Imperial troops with a laser gun
Like his grandpa killed Jerries before him.
