Not to women far away,
Not to games they want to play,
Not to nights you spend with those
With wild hair and fancy clothes.
Not to those whose gifts you've kept,
Or with casually you've slept,
Not to phone calls or to letters
Promissing to love you better.
I'm not giving you up that easy-
Not to feelings that might try
To make me want some other guy,
Not to those who say I'm wrong,
But can't say where I belong.
Not because of hurt or pain,
Because I'll love you just the same.
