Christ's Death 4/4/85 On this day Christ died Nailed upon the cross, in pain Alone, he had been abandoned by God, and man Let to hand, die slowly, suffocating Those who watched, either cried or cheered Darkness filled the sky, oppressive Thunder of God's released anger, rocked the world The rain washed us clean Three day passed, the morning bright and clear An empty tomb, the risen Lord, walks And men still do not believe He appears to those who love him Mary Hauck
