			Day Music, Day Dust

A slither of sheet
pools on the floor like spilled milk.
The cat, caught again in the center of the warmth
tries to bluff her way out with steay green eyes,
a small sphinx
in the sands of a comfortable desert.

Drums holding forgotten dreams
sing with a symphony
of tangled blankets,

(piccolos provided by
bright gleams of brass frame)

conducted by the midday sun.
