		The Sigh

You come out. She walks by.
	You step
	Down, onto the walk, behind.
	She looks around, sees
	The black leather, faded jeans,
	White smile and
	Honest eyes,
	Then looks away.
	The wind rises
	Behind the fine-line legs
	Beneath a shade of white,
	And carries her scent
	Like a child.
	You breath deep.
	She hears and
	Walks faster.
	Yet still your pace
	Will take you by.
	Again you smile,

	Then remember
	A glimpse
	Of her eyes.

	The pulse of her heels
	Is high by the time
	You move beside her,
	Moving steady in longer strides.
And she glances your way, but

	Her eyes....

	You sheath your smile and
	Hide your eyes,
And once you are well past
	You hear her.
