[net.rec.scuba] Diving the Islands

unshine beach with (I think) Dave's
Dive shop. We dove on a wreck that was sunk on pupose in 130 ft. of water
to form an artificial reef. The wreck itself is 356 ft. long and the main
deck is at 80 ft. The guide that takes you down will take you inside a few
cnpartments (its safe and you never lose sight of daylight. You then go
down alongside of her to 100 ft. Its a 25 min. dive and well worth it.
there's a large grouper in the hold of the ship and it's weight is about
600 lbs.
The cost is $60.00 Barbados which is about 40 Canadian and 30 American.

You can also obtain dive packages available for about 100 US and that
gives you 5 dives which (I believe) are all on different sights. But for
sure 3 dives are on different sights.

I forgot to mention that the dive to 100 ft; visability was suppose
to be poor that day we could see about 150 ft. horizontal and suface from
100 ft depth. Water temp. is 70 degrees at 100 ft (I wore a t-shirt and
BC and didn't get even a chill).

Hope this has given you some help deciding.
