A dive club, called the Sea Scavengers, is being formed to cover the Sorrento Valley area in particular and San Diego in general. Currently the club consists of a nucleus of seven active divers (diving about once a week), 12 certified divers, and 15 members who snorkel or are interested in diving. The club has already organized group activities like shore dives, night dives, an all night opening of lobster season dive, private boat dives, and a beach party at Boomer beach. Other sea scavenger benefits include information and a news letter, tee shirts (for an additional cost), free dive logs, experienced divers to assist in making dives and monthly meetings. If you are a diver or are interested in learning more about the sport, plan to attend the SEA SCAVENGERS' ORGANIZATIONAL NIGHT, MARCH 26th, at 7:00 in GE/CALMA BUILDING 6, CONFERENCE ROOM #50.
