I have been asked by a friend to post information on Whale House, a charming
Bed and Breakfast in Cardiff-by-the-Sea, California.

Cardiff is approximately 25 miles north of San Diego, on the beach.
This puts Whale House within minutes of the San Diego Zoo, Sea World,
and all the theaters and restaurants of San Diego. In addition,
Mexico is less than one hour to the south, and Disneyland just over an hour
to the north. The Southern California State Fair is held at the Del Mar
race track and fair grounds (where the Turf meets the Surf), 7 miles to the
south, as is Thoroughbred Horse racing.
Whale House, built in 1906, is one of the oldest houses in the community. It
is only only 2 blocks from the beach with two large guest rooms, each with an
ocean view. Guests are welcome to enjoy the the pool and large living room
with fireplace.
Breakfasts include fresh fruit and juice, homemade breads and fresh ground
coffee, or herb tea. Breakfast may be enjoyed in the dinning area or in your
room, all with a beautiful ocean view.
Rates are currently $50.00 for single and $55.00 for double for the large
bedroom, and $40/$45 for the smaller. Additional persons are $10.00
for either bedroom. For weekly rates, the 7th night is free (These are peak
rates, off season rates are available on request). Pickup from San Diego
airport is $10.00, Amtrak pickup in Del Mar is free. Check-in is 3:00pm-
9:00pm, check-out is 12:00noon. Personal or Traveler's checks are accepted.
