Hazelwood Computers sells a single-board 68008 system with OS-9, editor, assembler, Basic09, and C for about $1000. I don't remember the details of the hardware. I'm sure it supports 5" floppies and hard disks. There are at least two serial ports. I don't remember about parallel ports. It comes with 128K upgradable to 512K. It is the same size as a 5" disk drive. You need to add drives, a power supply, a box, and a terminal. The total cost sounds comparible with an IBM PC.

Emerald Computers sells a 68000/68010 board, 1 (2?) Megs of RAM, 2 serial posts, 2 parallel (sp?) ports, counter timers, and a floppy controller for $700. Its comes with OS-9 and has a C compiler, assembler, etc. Its called the ESB-2 (I think) and their address is: Emerald Computers Inc. 4000 SE International Way Suite F203 Milwaukie OR 97222 (503) 654-9666 P.S. They also supply a hard disk interface and other stuff. Usual disclaimer which probably won't stand up in court, and probably will never have to... Bjorn Benson
