Greetings to everyone in net - land, There is a new modular 68k micro called GEPARD. The system runs at 10 ( optional 12) Mhz. In the basic version it consists of 256 Kb DRAM, CPU and ( don't laugh) an Apple termial-interface. So the Apple can be used for input/output. The operating-system for the GEPARD is the GDOS ( Gepard Disk Operating System), which has a user interface like the UCSD-p OS. The system can be upgraded to a standalone system without the Apple, with a floppy disk controller card, a video card and a keyboard card. The standard disk drive for the GEPARD is a SONY 3 1/2 ( 500 kBit/s) inch drive, but it is possible to connect any other disk drive ( 5 1/4 or 8 inch) to the disk controller. The system-software consist of the GDOS, a MODULA-2 compiler, a 68k assembler, some MODULA utilities and two editors ( a UCSD like and a WordStar like editor). The whole software is included in the system price. If you are interested in more details contact me .
