-any line-eaters left?- Well, according to sources working at Terminals Unlimited, they have long since obliterated their stock of Callan hardware, including parts, boards, etc. In fact, the Washington Post 1 1/2 weeks ago mentioned the demise of one TU, Inc. of Falls Church, VA, which had a New York computer equipment subsidiary not to be confused with a computer equipment supplier in the Gaithersburg, Md area. This leads me to believe that I have a defunct machine from a defunct manufacturer, bought from a defunct company. And yet, I'm still happy. And now for the question I need. I have sitting in my desk, a 68010. Now, due to slightly different interrupt handling, the Callan needs a patch to the kernal. Does anyone know exactly what needs to be done? I assume this has to be done on the old processor using ADB, since they didn't give us any real facilities to play with. By the way, the chip WILL run the Callan boot proms, manages to load the kernal, but when the screen clears and gives the 'On-board memory...(whatever)', it tries to figure out offboard memory, the 'halt' LED comes on, and nothing happens. So...a patch to v7? thanks, -dave -- ------------------------------------------------------------------------------- David Hsu hsu @ eneevax.umd.edu Communications & Signal Processing Laboratory hsu @ sphinx.ee.umd.edu Department of Electrical Engineering hsu @ mit-prep.arpa University of Maryland hsu @ umd2.arpa "You see?
