I don't know how or why people missed it, but I put a (mostly complete) 68000 cross-assembler on the net a few weeks ago. I'm going to repost it because one person has already mentioned that they couldn't find the first posting. The assembler is written in Basic. It was originally written on a C64. The posted version is slightly modified for the IBM PC. The program is vanilla Basic except that it uses a couple of screen control statements. It currently does the first pass of the assembly, and know about the second pass. It uses Motorola mnemonics. It is about 10k long. It includes a stupid visual editor. The visual editor does need to have the file routines written in. The routines which are still needed (convert ascii data to numeric, second pass assembly, save object file, etc.) all have gosubs in the main control module, but the code needs to be written in. At present it is public domain. If enough people bug me, I'll finish it, but it will then become a Rosette, Inc. product and you'll have to pay money for it and won't be able to get it for another month. The (Basic) source is posted on net.sources orstcs!richardt "The Apparition" Richard Threadgill 1230 NW 23rd #7 - SnailMail address recently changed Corvallis Or "You put the tribbles *Where*???" -- Captain Kirk, loosely
