I recently stumbled over an ad in BYTE for an outfit called Motel Computers Ltd. (honest!) out of Toronto. They make a 68000 plus, you should pardon the expression, Z-80B plus NEC 7220 single-board device. 68020 is mentioned as an option. Anyone out there ever seen/used one? I'm interested in it because they men- tion something about OS-9/68000 for it in the ad. James Jones

I am also interested and would appreciate a copy of any of information available (I am currently waiting for the reader service stuff). Vince ihnp4!uiucdcs!guarna

I called them yesterday and OS-9 68K isn't ready yet. It is due this month, so it isn't late. Price and distribution have yet to bet settled. The port is being done by an independant software house. The board doesn't fit in a standard IBM PC case, but *will* fit a case for Apple II clone boards (IBM style). It will also fit the Taiwan wide Apple II cases with the numerical keypad, and uses Apple II keyboards. They have plans for an '020 upgrade board. If they get their OS-9 working, I may just buy this one myself. I wish it had multiple RS-232's so I could make use of the multi-user capability, but heck, it sounds pretty good overall. The Canadian price is the US price + exchange, so it's about 1.37 * US price right now.
