Can anyone comment on the quality of the C compiler that comes with CPM 68K? (bugs, speed, code efficiency, K&R-ness, etc.) Vince ihnp4!uiucdcs!guarna

I've heard specific complaints about the Compiler before, but I wasn't interested, so I never noted them. A recent review in 68 Micro Journal Jan. '86, p. 26 was written by someone who was very upset, but I think mainly due to the documentation. Apparently it was internally contradictary (particularly denying support of floating point which in fact turns out to be there but even still not describing it). It might actually be a good compiler. In fact, it seems to be the same compiler you get with the Atari 520ST development package (saving that a different linker is included), so it must be usable. I guess. :-) Cheers! -- Jim O. -- James Omura, Barrister & Solicitor, Toronto ihnp4!utzoo!lsuc!jimomura Byte Information eXchange: jimomura (416) 652-3880
