It occurred to me that some OS-9'ers might not know that I have posted a version of MicroEMACS for OS-9 to net.micro.6809. This is the now very famous Bob Larson/Bob Santy port of the first version of microEMACS that was circulated on the net. Bob Santy did the OS-9 6809 port and Bob Larson did the OS-9 68K port. I should mention that the files are strangely concatenated. This is due to the fact that I had to use BIX as a medium between my Color Computer (which is capable of uploading to BIX, but not to my Unix node) and my Spectravideo which is capable of crossloading in both directions now with both BIX and 'lsuc' (although the downloading from BIX can be a problem sometimes--I can't seem to get one machine to do everything perfectly :-). I also do not have 'shar' available, and am not happy with 'ar' files, which seem to have unprintable ASCII characters, possibly for character counts or CRC. If someone could break up the files (being careful to make note of the file names!) and archive them with 'shar' and re-post them, I think a lot of people would be a lot happier. I will *not* be keeping copies of these files on my Unix node. I'll be destroying them in a week Cheers! -- Jim O. -- James Omura, Barrister & Solicitor, Toronto ihnp4!utzoo!lsuc!jimomura Byte Information eXchange: jimomura (416) 652-3880
