---- I am looking for a single board computer that includes: 68000 1Mbyte RAM 256K ROM Serial port Parallel port Expansion port (for adding additional ROM, RAM, ports, etc) Some software support, OS, debugger, terminal support, etc I want it for under $800. I don't want the expense of a bussed system (VME, Multibus, IEEE396) Is there anything that will fit the bill? If not, how close can I get? Who? Where? How much? Thanks for any help you can give, Ron Bremer [decvax | ucbvax | purdue | ihnp4]!tektronix!tekgen!tekred!ronb

The series of Emerald Computer boards are close to what you are asking for M680XX, ram, rom, serial port, floppy port, and parallel port with rom debugger and ports for cp/m-68k, forth, and os9. Prices start at less than $500 for a M68008 based system and go up from there. The cards make good general purpose controllers. Their address/tele is: Emerald Computers (503) 654-9666 4000 S.E. International Way, Suite F 203 Milwaukie, Or 97222 On the higher end we have a high performance SBC targeted for similar market. We have a 12MHz (or 16MHz) M68020 SBC with paging mmu, 1 to 8MB of ram, rom, M68881 FP, 2/4 serial, floppy, and SCSI interface. We have had two functional 4-layer proto systems since April, and will start 1st production run in Sept/Oct when the UNIX port is finished. Prices will start at about $1,500 for board level, and about $3,500 for a system with 2mb ram, 20mb hard disk, 800k floppy, and 2/4 user UNIX configuration. Drop us a card for the information packet, no calls yet please.
