I need some help
We at NCSC 26.4.0.53 have in the past depended upon the NAVY LABRATORY
COMPUTER NETWORK (NALCON) Program Office for updates to software. Recently
NALCON announced that they would no longer supply programming support
It appears now that NCSC is getting further from the rest of the world in
software compatibility. Specifically addressing of hosts when using
electronic mail has become a problem. Most sites are now using addressing
with some form of dot net (for example NCSC.ARPA). We do not (ex NCSC).
I need to know how to get updated software to handle this addressing extension.
Currently NCSC is using 4.1bsd UNIX on a VAX 11/750.
Where do I get the updates for our software?
