[fa.tcp-ip] info on commercially available LANs

marwaha@LOUIE.UDEL.EDU (10/17/85)

I am looking for information about commercially available LAN products.
This is for a survey report on commercially available LAN systems and
how they map onto the various network standards proposed by the various
committees. If any body has any pointers to manufacturers/developers
of LAN products or knows where I can get such information (e.g. a LAN
manufacturers directory) I would be happy to know about it.
Thanx.

BRIDGE COMMUNICATIONS has a rather extensive set of turnkey/programmable
systems. You can find them at:

1345 Shorebird Way
Mountain View, CA. 94043
(415)-969-4400

You might ask for Judith Estrin. She is VP of Engineering. She can
point you to the appropriate people. A project that I worked on
had a good experience with the products and the company.

A good marketing contact is Nancy Collins, (714)-476-8844. She was
our sales rep. I don't know if she would cover your area.

If you call, tell Judith or Nancy that Jeff Cavallaro (formally of TRW)
sent you!

Sorry that this message went to the whole group. I guess I didn't fool
our automated mail composition SW very well. Sorry for the advertisement
overtones. It was not meant to be one.
