Id like to ask a question Ive been wondering about for some
time.

Are the two lines notes adds at the start of a message really
necessary? They dont bother other notes users, but they are rather
unaesthetic for everybody else.

I realize that there may be a purpose in those lines, but in
the current environment they seem to do more harm than good. Responses
seem to be organised according to subject (title) (and regardless of
the "- (nf)", another questionable item). There is a date in the
header. Very few sites use the privilege features.

Basically, what I would like to know is, what would happen if I
flushed those lines from the notes composed at this site?

PS I should mention that I use the notes system a lot because it is in
many ways superior to readnews; however this makes those few problems
grate a bit more. The only other thing that bothers me is the
somewhat cumbersome and vulnerable storage method, which makes access
to the data from other programs a bit difficult (it also causes
problems for incremental dumps).
