I have been given the unenviable task of putting together a computer conferencing system on very short order (read: to be in place by January). It's to be used by lawyers for discussion of the new Ontario Rules of Practice (rules of court procedure). There will be an item (or note) for each Rule, and lawyers will post their experiences, summaries of decisions which have been handed down, new interpretations, etc. Problem: these people are computer-naive users. I need to change the input routines so that a limited set of options is offered at any time, and it is clear what they are (this may mean redoing some of the input routines). I'll also have to put together some documentation that covers only the basic commands; once users are more experienced, they can graduate to the "real" documentation. Has anyone addressed these problems for the notesfiles system? I have notes as distributed with 4.2. It's running on a Perkin-Elmer 3220 (v7). Thanks.
