Please don't mail the address of the nearest NPR station to New York to rlr. Post it instead and save me and a few others the need to ask for a posting from hi. (Sorry, rlr...)

1) NPR can be heard on WNYC AM/FM, from New York. Approximate frequencies are 92 FM, 830 or 970 (??) AM (I have the buttons set on my car radio so I don't remember frequencies. The FM is just below WJLK-FM from Asbury Park.) The two stations have different schedules. FM plays mostly classical music - it has All Things Considered from 5pm-6:30, and if it has Morning Edition it must be before 8:00 AM. I'm not sure about PHC. The AM station has Morning Edition from (?8am) to 9:00, followed by miscellaneous (Senior Edition, some locals, and classical music later in the afternoon), ATC at 5pm and 8pm, As It Happens (Canadian Broadcasting 's program that inspired ATC, a somewhat parochial (sorry, Canadians), but very interesting program) at 6:30 pm. PHC is Saturday evenings at ??6pm ??8pm? 2) Re: What is this weird group about? Prairie Home Companion is a music and miscellaneous program put out ny National Public Radio from the fictitious town of Lake Woebegone, Michigan.
