OK, Whippets fans, I'm tired of not seeing any articles in what could be a really neat group. So here goes . . . Anyone out there care to finish the folling paragraph: "Well, it has been a quiet week on net.wobegon . . ." Come on creative people, this has possibilities. Brent Laminack (akgua!itm!brent)

I have been wondering if Bertha's Kitty Boutique runs any detox programs. My cat, the Shark, has a real problem with the catnip. I've been trying to ignore the problem (I keep saying it's just the heat that makes him behave strangely), but last night (actually early this morning) he came in and lay down on my face and the odor of catnip on his breath was undeniable. I now realize the poor thing needs help that I alone cannot provide.

This last Saturday (September 16) was the first time I had every heard (or heard of) the Prairie Home Companion, and Lake (?) Wobegon. I heard the skit "The Spillers" which was hilarious! I was having lunch at a friend's house, and we heard this skit during lunch: we were laughing hysterically! The skit was about chronically messy people who constantly spill things while eating. It developed into a parody of alcoholism (not to deny the seriousness of that desease) where Spillers deny their problem, and then go to a self help group specifically for Spillers. If anybody has a script (or has a better memory for dialogue than I do) I think people would enjoy reading it on the net, either in this newsgroup and/or the jokes newsgroup. Debbie Smit
