Prairie Home Compaon has become the mainstay of The American Public Radio Network, out of Minnesota Public Radio in St. Paul. This network distributes programs by satellite and appears to compete with National Public Radio. In addition to the Minnesota Symphony, it distributes programs supplied by other sources such as WGBH, Boston (The Web), and programs from overseas and from Canada. Prairie Home Companion has more listeners through WGBH Boston than through any other outlet.
