[net.wobegon] Orphaned Response

I sympathesize with your distress. But, make no mistake
about it, the blame lies with ol' Ronnie in Washington.
If he continues to swing the ax he's created for public
radio, you'll be more distressed.
Let's keep public radio, and dump something (or, more
appropriately, someONE) else.

During the broadcast from Seattle (Nov 9), I was trying to figure out
something of what was going on in the "News from Lake Wobegon" segment.
I suspected Garrison was in love -- I guess this basenote confirms it!
For example, at one point, he mentioned "someone else" wandering around
Lake Wobegon, looking up at the stars, "about my age ... about my
height", in love. There were other small indications, too.

Try WGBH 89.7 out of Boston. They broadcast PHC on Saturday
night at 6 pm.

That can't possibly be the real reason. One station here in Colorado
carries it at 4:00 MST and most others carry it at 6:00 MST.

Does anybody know when it is broadcast/recorded? I would guess that it
is targeted for 6:00 in New York, which would be 4:00 out here and 5:00
in Lake Wobegon. :-)

Does anyone out there remember the tagline for aHOOah hot sauce?
/* End of text from net.wobegon */

I'm afraid I don't, but I wonder if it might have changed after Ajua (to
use a Spanish spelling) got bought out by a big Swedish conglomerate and
became "Ah<u-umlaut>ah"?

Unlikely, since there's no umlauted U in Swedish. (Flame about people with
mistaken ideas about Swedish suppressed)
