--------------------------------------------------------- I sympathesize with your distress. But, make no mistake about it, the blame lies with ol' Ronnie in Washington. If he continues to swing the ax he's created for public radio, you'll be more distressed. Let's keep public radio, and dump something (or, more appropriately, someONE) else. ...!hp-pcd!orstcs!joseph (a concerned public radio listener) ------------------------------------------------------------------

During the broadcast from Seattle (Nov 9), I was trying to figure out something of what was going on in the "News from Lake Wobegon" segment. I suspected Garrison was in love -- I guess this basenote confirms it! For example, at one point, he mentioned "someone else" wandering around Lake Wobegon, looking up at the stars, "about my age ... about my height", in love. There were other small indications, too. Try WGBH 89.7 out of Boston. They broadcast PHC on Saturday night at 6 pm. NET: {harpo, allegro, bellcore, ihnp4}!inmet!ada-uts!cindy ----------

> I was in San Antonio, TX and the local NPR station KUT from Austin > refuses to carry PHC. We called the station and they refused > the option because they are required to carry it live and they didn't > want to accomidate that requirement. That can't possibly be the real reason. One station here in Colorado carries it at 4:00 MST and most others carry it at 6:00 MST. Does anybody know when it is broadcast/recorded? I would guess that it is targeted for 6:00 in New York, which would be 4:00 out here and 5:00 in Lake Wobegon. :-) Steve Wolf UUCP: {ihnp4|hplabs}!hpfcla!woof Hewlett-Packard Company ARPA/CSNET: hpfcla!woof@hplabs Fort Collins, Colorado PHONE: (303) 229-2088
