[net.wobegon] Is anyone out there?

Yes, we're out here. No, we don't do a lot of posting, just what
needs to be done. Most of the articles here are things like questions
about the show or the performers, reviews of road shows, discussions
of things Garrison Keillor has done that got attention in the media
(writing the book and getting married, for example), and so on. That
doesn't give us a whole lot to write about.

Besides, a newsgroup whose readers and posters are shy (mostly)
doesn't need much traffic, which is just as well because it probably
isn't going to get much traffic. To me, the simple fact that
net.wobegon exists means there are other shys out there, alive and
well and minding their own business. The groups where the extroverts
hang around can keep their high volume and their flames and their
meta-discussions and their spelling controversies. We've got a pretty
good group here, where love never dies and the articles are fresh
every month. :-)

So, welcome to net.wobegon and make yourself at home. When you have
something to say, go ahead and say it, and when you don't, just sit
back, relax, and have a quiet week with the rest of us.
