[net.physics] Temperature of heaven, hell

Another point that people seem to have missed is that the existance
of brimstone lakes does not set a lower bound of 444C (temperature of
boiling sulpher) on the temperature. Nowhere is it mentioned that Hell is
maintained at 1 atmosphere; given its location the pressure is probably much
higher.

Anyone know offhand the critical temperature of Sulpher?

There could also be dissolved impurities that raise the boiling
point (although they wouldn't raise the critical temperature).
