According to a recent government publication ...

A billion seconds ago Harry Truman was president.

A billion minutes ago was just after the time of Christ.

A billion hours ago man had not yet walked on earth.

A billion dollars ago was late yesterday at the U.S. Treasury.

	. . .
A billion dollars ago was late yesterday at the U.S. Treasury.

If 1 year = about 600 billion dollars = about 30 million seconds, then
1 second = 20,000 dollars. Using c (the speed of light) as a conversion
factor, $1 = 1/20 msec = about 15 kilometers.

It looks to me like a dollar goes farther than you think!

I can't BELIEVE anyone saw fit to mention the speed of light and a
division of the U. S. Government in the same paragraph.
