[net.physics] psi and radioactivity

From: Richard M. King <KING@KESTREL>

It would be very easy to measure the ability of a psi to affect
radioactive decay.
The functioning of a nuclear reactor depends very delicately on the
number of neutrons released per fission, and on the speed with which the
fission products decay and release more neutrons. I hereby challange any
PSI "adept" to walk into a nuclear reactor building and cause the servos to
move the control rods either in or out. (If he damped the reaction, even a
small amount, the servo would pull out the rods to compensate.)
This would be a repeatabe experiment.

Oh, no! Not that Dick! If all the PSIchos in the world decide
to blow-up the nuclear reactors not even all the Maharishi's
meditators could stop them. Worse yet, now that the idea is out
PSIchos may unintentionally *dream* about it and set them off.

Sarfatti, what should we do?
