The true nature of thermodynamic entropy, and its relation to system evalution, information, and causality is under active investigation by the formost physicist alive. People like Hawking, Prigiogine, and Penrose. Entropy is intimatly connected with Shannon information and even evaporating mini-black holes. Sarfatti conjectures (as debroglie did long ago, but less formally) that entropy is negative probablity arriving from outside the light cone. Hawkings recent derivations (see Quantum Grivity, a Second Oxford Symbosium, Princeton U. Press) confirm this. Several physicicists beleive we are on the verge of a new "watershed" where super GUT, entropy-information, and EPR all are integrated. Stay tuned! ------
