I have received messages from people who seem to be more abreast of
current developments in astronomy who point out that pulsars are
generally believed to be located in our own galaxy. They are
supposedly neutron stars. My recollection was that their short
periods of pulsation are attributed to uneven E-M fields around
rapidly spinning small (neutron star) bodies that are not much
larger than a black hole.

Therefore pulsars are not directly relevant to the cosmology
discussion. It is nice to hear that not every strange phenomenon
is attributed to the big bang.
